Stay In Your Lane!

Life is a race, so we were told from childhood. But they did not tell us that in order to reach our destination safely we have to stay in our God-given lane. This lane is uniquely designed for everyone. Staying in the appropriate lane can make an individual see the road ahead and reach his or her destination in life.

There are six different types of people that may not reach their destination safely:

1.People who don’t know there is a destination in life

2.People who don’t have a destination in life.

3.People who don’t know how to get to their destination.

4.People who don’t know that safety can only be ensured through their own lane.

5.People who don’t know when they are in another man’s lane

6.People who are too shy to switch from another man’s lane into their own lane because of what people will say: they prefer to be miserable than to risk embarrassment.

Many times you will hear people say I don’t like embarrassment.

If you were to choose between being embarrassed or living a miserable life. Which one will you choose? Personally, I prefer to be embarrassed than live a miserable life.

By the way, studies show that people who don’t mind trying new things, even if it is embarrassing, are happier than people who run away from embarrassment.

Regardless of the category you fall into. I am Tolu. I am your friend. I will be giving you suggestions on how to stay in your lane and be the best version of yourself regardless of the category you find yourself. The six categories of people are:

1. People who don’t know there is a destination in life

Yes, my friend everyone has a destination in life. Your destination is specific to you.

It is your responsibility to know your destination: How many people leave their house in the morning without having a destination? Could you imagine if you got into your car and just drove for hours in the direction of the wind. That would be a waste of gas and most importantly a waste of time.

2. People who don’t have a destination in life.

This problem comes from being a stranger to yourself.

Solution: Take yourself out, date yourself and do you.

It has been confirmed that the reason why people fail in dating is because they did not date themselves first.

Smart ladies know this. When you try to talk to them, the first thing they do is look at your shoes. They know a guy can not give what he does not have.

Know yourself: Can you write a full page of paper on yourself in 15 minutes? If your answer is yes then you might have a good idea of who you are.

Discover your gifts and your gift will make a path for you. Through this path you will reach your destination or maximum potential. Pour yourself into your gift like that is the only thing that matters.

3. People who don’t know how to get to their destination.

These group of people have seen people reach their potential, they just don’t know how to go about their personal journey.

They don’t have a map or GPS. You can start by talking to people who have done what you are planning to do. Take it a step further by asking if they can mentor you in this area.

4.People who don’t know that safety can only be ensured through their own lane.

These are people who like to jump protocol, rules and guidelines. When they run into a ditch, they blame it on the society and deities from their enemy’s camp. Most of the destiny accidents (regrets) happen when a man is not equip for an endeavor and decides to follow the path just because people recommended the path.

5.People who don’t know when they are in another man’s lane

It’s hard for these people to see that they are wearing another man’s shoes.

How many of you wore an oversized shoe when you were young?

How far were you able to walk in an oversized shoe?

Did you walk in a straight line? Or a pattern safe enough to call your lane?

When you hear noises within you more than you hear useful suggestions, you are in another man’s lane.

At this point, there is no peace. You do not need to commit suicide like most people will do. Just switch to your lane.

6.People who are too shy to switch from another man’s lane to their own lane because of what people will say: they prefer to live a miserable life than to be embarrassed.

These group consist of people that are too afraid to call a spade a spade

They can call a spade a spoon just so they can get away with small comfort and easy life. Don’t let your present gains deter you from your destined harvest.

Most of the accidents on the road of life happens when you leave your lane and try to cross into another person’s lane. Stay in your lane even if it means choosing what you want to be over what you can get now
